When Docker support was added, Docker Desktop was free. It no longer is for commercial use at companies with over 250 employees or $10m in revenue, which has significantly reduced usage. Additionally, users were sometimes confused into thinking Docker was required to run the quickstart. Removing Docker files and updating the README to present native language execution as the single, straightforward path and reduce maintenance burden.
