Just want to mention that interim chair is not actually a thing that we do. I was the one that initially mentioned interim chair in the giant thread, so my bad. But just want to clarify that. If there is a long term need for an acting chairperson, then we would run an election for a new chairperson. |

Not gonna give my own opinion here bc i think we have covered that enough in the Slack thread, but I think this is a reasonable proposal and I see the merits of it. |

With only 2 items in the list, I think it would make more sense to just remove the list formatting and just incorporate it into the existing paragraph. Not sure off the top of my head how we could phrase that, though

I thought about removing the list formatting, but this was ultimately the reason I left it. Once I finish my work for today, though, I'll take another look.
Noted. My original message has been edited to specify electing a new Chair instead. |

Summary of change(s):
Financials has been removed from the line of succession for Acting Chair; it is now just Evals, then any voting EBoard member, as chosen by an EBoard vote. The reason for this is that while the responsibilities of Evals generally align with those of the Chair (interface with RIT, lead discussions), Financials doesn't need to be as good at leading complex meetings like House Meeting, EBoard Meeting, or Spring Evals. In these situations, EBoard should be allowed to pick a different chair of the discussion than Financials. If Chair is unavailable long-term, a new Chair should be elected instead (and therefore the Acting Chair line of succession is ignored).
