Hi there,

First of all thanks for the amazing work creating this tool!

I was just wondering if it's possible to pin the annotations/highlights editor to the side of the screen so that users can have quick access to the important parts of a document?

The Annotations box is a Windows Pane. So same as all others in windows 11 can be used as part of a "Snap Layout" however for me on Windows 10 it is simpler to resize the 2 panes so they dont overlap.

PowerToy's FancyZones could help, too.

Note FancyZones has had variable issues since introduced 2019 as 64bit only but should work well on Windows11

I would like to put emphasis on the OP.
I use SumatraPDF to read and comment PDF files for my research, and the ability to have the annotation window pinned to the viewer would greatly increase efficiency.
I would also like to have the option to actually show the content/note of all the annotations in that menu, making it so much nicer to scan my notes than to have to click on every single one.

That being said, great work, the reader itself is very functional and solved many issues I had!

Well, the current design is "do something that works"

Ultimately I want a more fluid design that gets rid of annotations window and allows direct manipulation of annotations

Additional comment after a few days of use:
As the annotation window is separated from the reading window, it means (at the moment) that it is linked to one specific PDF.
As I'm working across several documents, this makes it hard to find annotations, as I then have to open a new annotation window for each document and remember which is which.

An annotation pane that would update to the selected PDF would be much more efficient.
And again, being able to show a short preview of the annotation's comment instead of only the page number and type would help a lot.

All things are possible but do NOT try this at home as only one of the same file will win. But if one is saved with additions the other MAY show them. So 2 annotations in same file is to be avoided at all cost HOWEVER given enough screen you can edit more than one file.
